The actress, who has played half of one of M6’s leading shortcom couples since 2009, spoke about the new couple who joined “Scènes de Ménages” last year, to the detriment of her time as a antenna, she says.
Every evening in access prime time, Scènes de Ménages has continued to be a hit on M6 since its launch in 2009, marked by the broadcast of a prime event last December. Among the novelties of its thirteenth season inaugurated in August 2021, viewers were able to discover two new faces: Jalil and Louise, the latest couple to join the shortcom, embodied by Ryad Baxx and Claudia Mongumu.
But these new arrivals were obviously not to the taste of one of the actresses of Scènes de Ménages. Marion Game, who has played Huguette since the launch of the series, recently spoke about them in an interview with Télé Loisirs.
“IThey didn’t take a couple that upsets me. They are nice, but… (…) New couples don’t suck, but they have no real interest” she declares, also alluding to the arrival of Hugo (Vinnie Dargaud) and Leslie (Claire Chust) in 2010.“It’s not up to par. We’re not going up.”
The adventures of the firefighter and his companion, a former banker who decides to take over the management of her parents’ café-restaurant, do not seem to have convinced the interpreter of Huguette, who forms a couple of octogenarians on screen with Gérard Hernandez (Raymond) for 13 seasons, to the point of becoming one of the leading couples in the series. Unless the explanation is elsewhere…
Indeed, Marion Game believes that it no longer has enough screen time, and is less solicited by production for new pellets. “We turn a little less (…) I don’t want to stop. I would like to continue, if they (M6, editor’s note) they want it. I have no pretensions. I ask to turn Scenes of households with our two characters, who have been anchored for years, who we have been able to grow like a tree.”
If the actress does not hold it against M6 for this state of affairs, she nevertheless expresses her regret at being less present on the air. “I have total respect for M6 (…) So much the better if [les nouveaux couples] turn”, she moderates. “They’re right, they’re trying to drum the thing up a bit. They do what they can. They do what they want with me. It’s the job that’s like that (…). Everyone is entitled to their little share of happiness.”
