Ex-NFL star is struggling with corona infection

Sebastian Vollmer has to watch the Super Bowl LV from the sofa. Tom Brady's former teammate is struggling with a corona infection.
The German coverage of the Super Bowl LV on Monday night has to do without Sebastian Vollmer (36). According to his friend and podcast colleague Markus Kuhn (34), the former New England Patriots player was "really hard hit". Vollmer is therefore lying flat with a corona infection.
"It took him away"
Kuhn, also former NFL star of the New York Giants, said in the joint "Bild" podcast "The Vollmer and Kuhn Show": "It can also affect ex-professional athletes who are actually at the zenith of their physical health." Vollmer is now "a little better, (…) but it took him away". The former teammate of quarterback legend Tom Brady (43) is at home in Florida and is recovering.
On February 7, Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL Finals. The exceptional athlete can look forward to the seventh Super Bowl victory in his career. He won two of them together with Vollmer in 2014 and 2016 as a New England Patriots player.
