Exasperated by the wait in the emergency room, a man returned Thursday with his car to the premises of a hospital in Provins (Seine-et-Marne), causing four minor injuries.
The facts occurred around 3:15 p.m. at the Provins hospital center. A man, born in 1981, “was waiting for a consultation. He got angry, took his car and drove into the hospital, ”detailed a police source.
Four injured
His gesture injured four people in the waiting room, but none seriously, said Melun prosecutor Béatrice Angelelli. The most serious injury concerns a 75-year-old woman who suffered a broken leg.
Arrested on the spot, the individual was taken to the Provins police station and an investigation opened for violence with a weapon.
The condition of the suspect having proved incompatible with police custody, the prosecution ordered compulsory hospitalization for psychiatric problems, said the prosecutor.
