US Army Fires Vaccination Resisters

The US Army recently suspended high-ranking officers who refuse to be vaccinated. Now it wants to fire thousands of people who refuse to vaccinate. “Unvaccinated soldiers pose a risk to our armed forces and jeopardize our preparedness,” the Department of Defense said.

“We will begin the process of dismissing soldiers who refuse mandatory vaccination and do not await a final decision on possible exemption.” According to the army, 3,000 of the 480,000 soldiers could be forced to return to civilian life.
By the end of January, six senior officers – including two battalion commanders – had already been suspended for refusing to vaccinate. 3000 soldiers received a “reprimand”.
The US Navy had already announced last October that it would remove vaccination refusers from its ranks. According to data on Wednesday, 118 sailors had to leave the Navy and 300 soldiers had to leave the Marine Corps. Another 5,000 seafarers are not yet vaccinated. According to the US Department of Defense, 97 percent of the approximately 1.4 million active-duty soldiers have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
