Sigi Bergmann dead – Landesspitze mourns the loss of the Styrian sports legend

Provincial Governor Hermann Schützenhöfer and State Councilor for Sport Christopher Drexler reacted with deep sadness to the death of Sigi Bergmann. Born in Vorau, he made a name for himself in the sports scene as a boxing expert and presenter of the legendary show “Sport am Montag” on ORF.

“Sigi Bergmann was a sports reporter legend who never forgot his Styrian roots. In 2018, I also awarded him the state’s Decoration of Honor in Gold. In addition to sport, his passion was also opera.
