There are projects like that, you wonder why they exist … until you see them run. Developed by Magic Nipples, the modifier goes far beyond a simple replacement of Gordon Freeman’s model., since the purple dragon has its platform gameplay and original third-person view with it.
As you can see in the trailer released above by the modders, this completely alters the way to approach the level-design of the first adventures of the Freeman. The jumps lengthened thanks to the wings of the dragonet and the big blows of the horn that it can swing to break objects, metamorphose with a strange consistency the gameplay of Valve’s masterpiece.
A demo of the project should be available on January 21, with a full release planned … in a little while. However, Magic Nipples ensures that Half Life: Year of the Dragon, will be available “before 2024”.
