Stock sport women – shortly before the lockdown, cleared the title

Summer state champion, winter state champion, summer state champion – and now the European Cup winner! The success story of the ESV Vornholz pole athletes continued cheerfully in Peiting, Germany. However, the sticks will rest from Monday – but in February it should get really hot again in winter. And hopefully successful.

“We will use these five hours to celebrate with pleasure”, Julia Feichtgraber sent golden greetings from the party bus to home. In the 32:24 success in the final against Gerabach (D), Julia and Nicole Feichtgraber, Simone Steiner, Luise Storer and Elfriede Glatz managed to catch up in a class of their own after five of twelve turns and 3:17 behind. “After the weak preliminary round we were depressed, then we missed the start in the final,” said Julia Feichtgraber. But then to triumph! “You couldn’t count on that, compared to the international competition we train less on ice.” There isn’t any hot for golden winter prize money – but the second European title after 2015 compensated for many tournaments that were canceled due to Corona. “Usually we train twice a week and play on the weekend,” says Feichtgraber, who has been on the ice since she was ten years old. And now dreams of the “golden winter”. “In February the state championships and the world championships with our Simone Steiner should take place.”
