Disney is bringing an animated film to theaters in 2022. “Strange World” is about a family of explorers who come across ancient creatures.
The triumphant advance of the animated films from Disney on the big screen is apparently continuing: As the company has announced, its latest work “Strange World” will hit the cinemas on November 24, 2022. This is an action adventure in which a family of explorers will be in the foreground. The director is Don Hall (52), who was awarded an Oscar in 2015 for his film “Baymax – Riesiges Robowabohu”.
The story in “Strange World” is an allusion to the so-called pulp magazines, which were particularly popular in the first half of the 20th century. It contained science fiction and mystery stories. As a child, Hall himself discovered a story in which a group of adventurers discovered a hidden world with ancient creatures. “That was a huge inspiration for Strange World,” said Hall.
