Super Mario movie: Mario’s butt and face disrupt the internet!

While waiting for the Nintendo Direct tonight, we come back to two elements that have challenged the networks in recent days about the Mario film: the plumber’s face was apparently revealed by a Mc Donald pub leak, while the hero’s buttocks , considered too flat, became a meme.
The first Super Mario animated film slated for theatrical release is set to be revealed tonight in a specially dedicated Nintendo Direct.. We already know the cast, we already had a visual, but now we have to see how it moves and if the story will not be limited to a simple rescue of Princess Peach. While waiting for all this information, it’s hard not to see that the networks ignite as soon as information is revealed: after the choice of Chris Pratt to double Mario, it is now the poster of the film which is diverted in large widths.
A rodeo attack that must lose its luster
The poster published by Nintendo 2 days ago was quickly hijacked as a meme because of the plumber’s flat buttocks. RJ Palmer’s tweet which started the trend quickly went viral and as usual, the Internet worked its magic by multiplying the concepts around this “reflection”. The buttocks of Nintendo’s hero seems to be a concern for some fans of the license, who consider that he must necessarily have big buttocks to perform his famous rodeo attack. Some mods even go so far as to enlarge this part of Mario’s body “for the valve”, see the video just below.
Leak of Mario’s face in the film
Spotted on an upcoming promotional campaign for McDonald’s, the face of Mario in the Illumination film is already at the center of much debate. We will obviously have to wait to see how his face deforms during the feature film, but the realistic rendering, very successful, gives a funny impression on this leak. The plumber clearly loses his cartoon character side, to get closer to what “Mario as a human” could give. The reactions are still more balanced than for the first model of Sonic which had prompted Paramount to completely review the design of the blue hedgehog. Unless theuncanny valley is not explored too much, it should go better for Nintendo: go for the Nintendo Direct dedicated to the film, tonight at 10:05 p.m.
No games for the next Nintendo Direct, but a movie and not just any movie! After animated series and a film that history preferred to forget, Mario and his friends will return to the cinema in 2023. But before seeing all this in motion, a quick look at the poster unveiled today.
