Telephone network wanted – seriously injured man dragged himself away from the scene of the accident

A 71-year-old was seriously injured when he felled trees in his forest parcel on the Moritzsam in the Feldkirchen district on Monday afternoon. Part of a falling tree snapped against the man’s lower leg. Because there was no cell phone reception in the area, the seriously injured man first had to walk and then take a tractor to a place two kilometers away.

Only then could the 71-year-old contact his partner. This set the rescue chain in motion. The accident victim received first aid from the Johanniter Accident Aid and was flown to the UKH Klagenfurt by the C11 team.
