In addition to the first trailer for the series falloutAmazon had another big piece to unveil for its subscribers this weekend: a first glimpse of season 4 of its star show The Boys.

A few days ago, following the end of the broadcast of the spin-off Gen Vwe have put together a selection of the best series “at the The Boys » to wait until season 4. And now, as part of CCXP in Brazil, Amazon has just revealed the first trailer. The good news is that we can see a lot of things there. The bad news is that there is still no release date announced on Prime Video other than “2024”.

A little of The Walking Dead In The Boys

The first element to note is obviously the main new face in the casting of this season 4: Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Notably known for his role in The Walking Deadthe actor will apparently play an outspoken former ally of Butcher (Karl Urban).

An ever more tense context

And it won’t be too much, because the former leader of the Boys only has a few months to live and has lost Becca’s son who has turned to Homelander. The latter also consolidates his power, while Victoria Neuman and her expeditious methods are closer than ever to the presidency of the United States.

Society as a whole and superheroes also seem more torn than ever, especially between supporters of Homelander and Starlight. Many other characters from previous seasons will be back (the Boys, A-Train, The Deep or even… Black Noir?), accompanied by fresh blood, such as the superhero Firecracker, played by Valorie Curry. Finally, the central plot of the spin-off series Gen V should have consequences in season 4 of The Boys.

See you next year to see the result!

Amazon Prime Video

  • A catalog that is enriched month after month
  • An SVOD platform and many other services
  • A fairly complete back catalog

Good but could do better. This is clearly the first impression that Amazon Prime Video left on us. Its catalog remains neat, Amazon’s in-house productions are often of high quality, but everything remains weighed down by an interface that can largely be improved.
