They had made a list of personalities they wanted to rob: two men, 32 and 33 years old have just been convicted of thefts committed during the summer of 2019. They were involved in ten burglaries and attempted burglaries on repeat, as recounted The Parisian. Among their victims: Denis Brogniart, cult presenter of Koh Lanta, whose home had been searched the night of August 1, 2019, as well as the couple Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet, burgled on July 21, 2019, or the singer Sheila. The thugs had gone to their respective homes (in Essonne and Yvelines) taking advantage of the absence of the stars, then on vacation. Among the stolen items: a luxury Hermès bag worth 8,000 euros and a Tag Heuer watch belonging to the presenter of TF1, and a computer, Gucci jackets and wine from the couple. The duo had finally stopped on August 23, 2019, in Arpajon, after they were arrested by law enforcement outside an SFR store that they had previously attempted to break into.

Burglars equipped and prepared

It was the two men's GPS that established the ten thefts for which they were responsible : They had indeed entered the address of the home of several personalities who were burgled. The daily reveals the outcome of the trial which took place on Friday March 12: the two burglars were convicted to 5 years in prison, including one year suspended probation. In addition to the theft charges, there was a refusal to comply and violence against the police. To conduct these flights, they were equipped with a stolen and falsely dumped car (with which they had tried to sow the forces of law and order), tear gas canisters, a blue flashing light, a crowbar baton or even a thermal cutter.
