The CFDT banks and insurance declared Tuesday in a press release that it was joining “the criminal action for deceptive commercial practices initiated” against the Indexia group, whose trial is due to be held in 2024.
Through several companies, such as SFAM, the Indexia group marketed, among other things, services to insure telephones and computers. After receiving hundreds of customer reports, the repression of fraud had launched an investigation.
This investigation revealed that the group made consumers wishing to stop direct debits, cancel their subscriptions and be reimbursed for the sums deducted after cancellation, believe that they were that their requests were taken into account or even effective when this was not the case.

The Indexia group claims to have turned the insurance page to focus on the distribution of multimedia products new and reconditioned stores and the design of new services, particularly in its Hubside stores. According to a judicial source, who spoke to AFP a week ago, 533 victims were registered for the upcoming trial.
