The conflict at Groupe ADP is bogged down

The conflict at Groupe ADP is not about to come to an end, at a time when the employees of the airport manager will begin their third strike weekend. The last negotiating meeting, Monday, July 5, did not yield the results expected by the three representative unions, CGT, CFE-CGC and UNSA.

“We maintain the strike notice from Friday July 9 to Sunday July 11”, says Véronique Pigueron, President of the CFE-CGC of Groupe ADP. According to her, the few advances proposed Monday, July 5 by the management are “Insufficient and not satisfactory”. Contrary to the requests of the three organizations, the management refused to withdraw its plan to adapt work contracts, which provides for a drop in employee remuneration. She just proposed to reduce the duration.

According to our information, this reduction in remuneration will not go beyond the 1er January 2024. The reduction in wages may even be even shorter “If the air traffic reached in 2019 is back before this date”, indicates a trade unionist. This is unlikely, the unions worry, because 2019 was a record year for Groupe ADP with 108 million passengers. In practice, according to the latest management proposals, the drop in income will be “5% in 2022 then 4% in 2023”, underlines the trade unionist.

Inflexibility

But, in reality, the shortfall is greater, because, according to Mr.me Pigueron, “There will be no incentive in 2021 and there was no participation in 2020”. For the unions, management is still very far from the mark with these advances. At the start of the conflict, employees feared losing up to 20% of their salaries. “This is incorrect”, had tried to reassure Augustin de Romanet, CEO of the group, because, “Above 7%, we compensate for all losses and 88% of our employees will not lose more than 4%”, he had then specified. False, replies Mme Pigueron. For her, “The 15 measures proposed by management will result in a loss of more than a month’s salary”. In particular by the reduction of 90% of the mileage allowance.

The employees are not satisfied either with the simple postponement of one year of the mobility clause which they requested the abolition. The latter should not come into force until September 2022. When contacted, the management of Groupe ADP did not wish to comment.
