Police student lends his car to friend without a driver's license
Driving a car without a license is strictly forbidden – every child knows that. But just a budding police officer from Berlin left his car to a friend without a driver's license. The 22-year-old senior police student even did sat next to the 26-year-old as a passenger. This was announced by the police patrol who stopped the car. The officers had become aware of the particularly slow driving style of the 26-year-old in the Prenzlauer Berg district. The driver stated that he was practicing for his upcoming driving test.
The driver is now being investigated for driving without a license. He can’t avoid a fine. In the worst case, he could even face a prison sentence of up to a year. Because that is illegal driving not an administrative offense, but a criminal offense. The prospective police officer is being investigated for allowing driving a motor vehicle without a driver's license. He is also threatened with legal consequences.
