The EU Commission also approves Biontech vaccine
Now nothing can stand in the way of mass vaccination in the European Union: After the European Medicines Agency Ema a few hours ago green light for the use of the Covid-19 vaccine the Mainz company Biontech and the US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, the EU Commission is now following suit. The institution just issued the final approval. "Today we are adding an important chapter to the fight against Covid-19," said Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels. This year, people aged 16 and over can already be vaccinated against the coronavirus. The first delivery of vaccination doses is due to arrive in Germany next Saturday.
