The dream ship: filming will continue with Florian Silbereisen

Replenishment for all "Dream Ship" fans: The shooting of "The Dream Ship: Seychelles" was resumed in mid-June, as the ZDF announced at the request of the news agency spot on news. The remaining ship scenes are being shot at the Lloyd shipyard in Bremerhaven's Kaiserhafen, where the "MS Amadea" is located. The ship will not leave the port. The scenes on land were shot in the Seychelles in February.

Harald Schmidt is not among them

This is estimated to take ten to twelve days of shooting, the broadcaster said. In addition to Florian Silbereisen (38) as Captain Max Parger, Barbara Wussow (59) as Hotel Director Hanna Liebhold and Daniel Morgenroth (56) as First Officer Martin Grimm, there are also Sina Tkotsch, Frederic Heidorn, Liza Tzschirner, Simon Licht and Julia Dietze on the North Sea in front of the camera.

And will Harald Schmidt (62) also return as cruise director Oskar Schifferle? "Unfortunately, Harald Schmidt had other obligations at the time of the shooting. But he will definitely be on board as the cruise director," the broadcaster continues.

Consequences of the corona crisis

Like so many film and series productions, the ZDF cult series also had to temporarily stop filming due to the corona pandemic. While the film "The Dream Ship: Cape Town", which will be shown on TV on the second Christmas holiday this year, was still completed, some scenes for the episode around the Seychelles are still missing.

The broadcaster "closely monitors the current situation and legal regulations at the respective locations and works together with the production companies on appropriate hygiene concepts for the shooting," said the broadcaster. The episode in the Seychelles is scheduled for January 1, 2021.
