It was one of the commitments of the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo: from Wednesday June 30, there will be no more drug addicts in the gardens of Eole, a public park of the 18e district of the capital.
“Tomorrow, the garden will once again become a garden for residents, for families. There will be no more drug addicts in the garden ”, said Mme Hidalgo on LCI, Tuesday June 29. “I set a limit” at the end of June, she recalled, without giving details on a possible evacuation or on where the drug addicts would go.
Contacted by Agence France-Presse (AFP), his entourage clarified that the promise was valid from Wednesday morning, without providing further details. According to a source familiar with the matter, Mr.me Hidalgo confirmed to residents that Eole Gardens will no longer welcome crack users after June 30.
