As CES in Las Vegas opens its doors this week, Samsung has already started unveiling some of its products and new TVs showcased at the show. This is particularly the case with its MicroLED and Neo QLED televisions, but also with its new generation The Frame 2022.

As was the case with previous versions, the new The Frame looks like a work of art. it must be said that the very concept of this television is to blend as well as possible into your interior. The screen thus takes advantage of wooden frames and allows, when it is in standby, to display tables or photos in order to give itself the air of an artistic piece.

However, the effect of the concept could be lessened by a small detail on The Frame models of previous years: the glossy screen. Indeed, the coating of the slab could display reflections on the table in the event of strong light sources in the living room. A problem which then went against the principle of the screen masking itself under the appearance of painting displayed in the middle of the living room. In order to solve this problem, Samsung has decided to incorporate a new coating for its 2022 generation, as reported The verge.

From now on, The Frame devices will benefit not only from an anti-reflective coating, but also from a matte panel in order to hide the reflections on the screen as well as possible. Above all, according to Samsung, this new coating makes it possible to best reproduce the texture of paper or a canvas to the touch. The new slab will also reduce fingerprints.

A TV with classic features

For the rest of the characteristics, the new The Frame range of 2022 is composed of seven sizes of televisions, from 32 to 85 inches with a 4K HDR panel – only HDR10 +, without Dolby Vision -, a variable refresh rate up to 120 Hz and an LCD panel with local dimming backlighting.

For now, Samsung has not announced the prices or the availability of these new The Frame 2022 televisions. It should also be noted that the The Frame are not the only televisions from the Korean manufacturer to benefit from this matt coating, since the screens on The Serif stand and The Sero rotating screens will also benefit.
