The Honor 90 and its 200 megapixel sensor land in France with a major asset: its value for money

Summer is approaching and you don’t have a good photophone to capture your future vacation? Honor today markets in France its very first model flanked by a huge 200 megapixel sensor: the Honor 90.

There are still few affordable smartphones capable of capturing photos at more than 108 megapixels. At least, that was the case until now. Equipped with a main sensor of 200 megapixels and displayed at the floor price of 599 euros, the all-new Honor 90 is likely to shake up the photophone market.

Available today on the manufacturer’s store alongside the Honor 90 Lite, but also on the SFR online store at an introductory price of 499.90 euros, this smartphone offers as a bonus a solid technical sheet combining power, long autonomy and high quality screen. Once again, Honor demonstrates its ability to offer terminals with excellent equipment-price ratios.

A premium photo configuration at a mini price

If the Honor 90 benefits from an elegant and ultra-thin design with its 7.8 mm thickness, this smartphone shines above all by the power of its camera.

Its main sensor reaches a remarkable definition of 200 megapixels, a field on which there are still few mid-range smartphones. With a substantial size of 1/1.4 inch, this one lets in the light well and takes bright and sharp shots, even in the evening. And if Honor has opted for premium photo equipment, the group has also taken care of the software part with a night mode and a new HDR mode which increases readability in dark areas while also detailing highlights.

In addition, the Honor 90 has a 2.5 cm ultra-wide-angle and macro lens with a 12-megapixel sensor as well as a 2-megapixel depth-of-field sensor for portraits. Up front, Honor has also gone all out with a 50-megapixel front camera that also has a nice 100-degree viewing angle. Enough to bring all his friends into the group selfies.

And to bring your memories even more to life, without having to saturate the smartphone storage with videos, Honor has provided an option “dynamic picture“. Your shots are thus automatically accompanied by a short video, which can even be transformed into a GIF in one click. Difficult to go back when you have tasted this feature.

Screen: from OLED at 120 Hz to program

Even if the photo is central to the Honor 90, the Chinese firm has also thought of large consumers of streaming videos and gamers. This new smartphone benefits from 5G connectivity and a good level of performance, both offered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip and the associated 12 GB of RAM.

This is without counting its large curved AMOLED screen of 6.7 inches displaying a beautiful definition of 2664 x 1200 pixels. Ultra bright with a peak measured at 1,600 nits in HDR, the panel also benefits from an optimal refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Honor has therefore planned everything to provide maximum comfort, even during prolonged use. And it’s not the lack of autonomy that will cut you off in the middle of a movie or in the middle of a game, the Honor 90 being powered by a large 5000 mAh battery, compatible with 66 W fast charging.

The new Honor 90 therefore benefits from a particularly robust technical sheet, especially for a mid-range smartphone.

A series of gifts to accompany its launch

From today, the Chinese brand allows you to get its brand new Honor 90 at the contained price of 499.90 euros, instead of 599.90 euros. A total discount of 100 euros, which is valid until July 19 only. It is available in three colors: Midnight Black, Emerald Green or Diamond Silver.

The Honor 90 completes the range since the brand has just launched the Honor 90 Lite a few weeks ago with its 100 megapixel sensor at an affordable price of 299.90 euros.
