On the occasion of the screening of the film Les Petits Princes on Saturday, December 25, 2021, from 9:05 p.m. on the Équipe channel, Télé Star reveals to you whether the actors actually play football on screen or not.
Released in theaters in 2013, the film titled The little princes, worn by Paul Bartel, Reda Kateb, Eddy Mitchell and Samy Seghir, will be broadcast on the team channel Saturday 25 December 2021, from 9:05 pm. Directed by Vianney Lebasque, this feature film features the character of JB, played on screen by Paul Bartel. Young 16-year-old football prodigy and poor, he is the last to join the training center where the greatest hopes of football evolve. Between friendship, competition, rivalries and her attraction to Lila, a young girl passionate about street art, JB will have to fight despite the heavy secrecy that could prevent him from achieving his dream.
This is the first film directed by Vianney Lebasque. To write the screenplay for this feature film, the filmmaker was inspired by his own experience. When he was young, he wanted to become a professional footballer at all costs. But due to an injury made at the age of 16, he had to give up his dream. Film and music lover, Vianney Lebasque finally opted for a career in film. The director therefore shows, with this first feature film, a world that he himself has known well: that of football training centers. Seeking to make his film as realistic as possible, the filmmaker has chosen actors who already know how to play football.
The little princes: 3 months of specific preparation for the actors
From the casting he asked the actors he auditioned their level of play, and then had them play on a field with their future coach. No special effects were used for The Little Princes. Paul Bartel and Samy Seghir therefore carry out the technical gestures themselves that we see on the screen.. For the record, the actors followed a specific preparation of 3 months, at the rate of 3 days of training per week. Coached by Julien Derobe, former coach of the Youth section of Paris Saint-Germain, the actors were able to improve their game, but also get to know each other before the start of filming.
