The map of places opened during confinement

What shops and services are open, and with what hours, during anti-coronavirus confinement? "It remains open", lets know.

Noon sounds, a desire to savor a good lasagna is felt. But which stores have open doors in the neighborhood? It is true that with containment measures and closings of businesses deemed "not essential "sometimes it’s difficult to know what’s open and what’s not. And nobody wants to wander for hours on the streets to find happiness. Fortunately, an interactive map identifies all the establishments still open during confinement. Baptized "It stays open", the map is updated daily by a team of volunteers and users. Supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, post offices, tobacconists, police stations, grocery stores, petrol stations … All the vital resources close to home are accessible, just select a city, a district or an address.

A collaborative collaborative tool

Any citizen can therefore enter information on this card. You must first register on the OpenStreetMap community. For users, everything is simplified, the dots in green on the map indicate the places that are always open, the gray ones, those where information is missing, and finally the red ones concern closed places. At any time it is possible to report a change, to consult timetables and to propose others in the event of modification.
"The more this collaborative tool is used, the more precise it will be ", say the developers.

It was at the start of confinement that "two committed citizens decided to map the remaining places open in Montrouge (92), their city of residence. The principle is simple: indicate on a map only the places always open during confinement" . Success is there. The site is relayed by the town hall and numerous emails from citizens wanting to share their information, give creators the idea of extending the concept to the whole of France.
"This is when the team grows: several volunteers join the team. Some put their respective professional projects on hold to focus 100% on the project, others give an occasional helping hand. Very quickly, dozens of people responded to help. Everyone mobilizes to respond to the health crisis".
On March 28, the site listed "199,525 locations throughout France ".

Another great initiative which also gives priority to small producers and local trade but above all to optimize travel by locating establishments directly.
