(Reuters) – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has received a questionnaire from London police as part of their investigation into Downing Street parties during the lockdown imposed in the face of the COVID-19 outbreak , Johnson’s spokesperson said Friday.
Boris Johnson will respond as required to the questionnaire, added the Downing Street spokesman, while London police announced this week that they would contact more than 50 people as part of this investigation.
The “partygate” scandal has weakened Boris Johnson’s position in power, several elected officials within his Conservative Party having asked for his resignation.
