The Scott Brothers: Elisabeth Harnois (Shelly) returns to the inappropriate behavior of the creator

For several years, many actresses and members of the team of “Les Frères Scott” have returned behind the scenes of the filming of the series. In a podcast, one of the actresses confided to having suffered advances from the creator.

It’s no secret. The atmosphere on the set of The Scott Brothers was far from idyllic. Since the end of the series, several women, including Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz, have spoken out to denounce the inappropriate behavior of the series creator, Mark Schwahn. In 2017, they published a letter accusing him of sexual harassment and other abusive behavior.

And since the launch of their Drama Queens podcast in 2021, the interpreters of Brooke, Haley and Peyton, as well as their various guests, have shared many stories behind the scenes of the Scott Brothers, and in particular about Mark Schwahn whom she regularly nicknames “Boss” Where “the one whose name should not be pronounced”.

It is also in the show put online this Monday, January 30 that Elisabeth Harnois, who played the “Clean Teen” Shelley Simon during season 4, returned to her experience on the series. The actress thus confessed to having received unsolicited advances from their “boss”, whom she did not name directly.

The first days went well,” she told podcast co-hosts Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton. “I was excited when I got the call. I was also excited when I got there.”

Then I had to have dinner with my boss and it ended with him inappropriately asking me to come up to my house… just to have tea and keep talking because we were having, quote, a good conversation about the character.

I didn’t know what to say, so I just said ‘Of course’. I felt very uncomfortable. It was my first week of filming, my first days. He ended up, without asking me, by massaging my feet. It was from that moment that I felt even closer to [mes co-stars féminines]because it made me understand some things.”

After this incident, Elisabeth Harnois however quickly put the hola: “I said to myself ‘it’s not going to happen like that’ and I threw him out. He wasn’t so disgusting to me after that incident. I was very [directe].
