The technique for making granulated garlic in an Air fryer: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Garlic brings a special touch to many dishes. We cannot imagine a gratin dauphinois without having rubbed the dish with garlic nor a roast beef without a piece of garlic stuck in it. If you don’t have a clove of garlic at home, then there is surely at least some granulated garlic. Practical, it keeps for a very long time in cupboards and provides more or less the same taste as fresh garlic. Did you know that it was very easy to make it at home thanks to the Air fryer? You need a little time, but in the end you have a good quantity that will last you several months. In addition, it allows you to use organic garlic and ultimately, the price is much more attractive.

How to make garlic powder with an Air fryer?

The recipe for air fryer garlic powder was published by Sahra, from the Instagram account @on_spartage_tout. It’s really very easy.

The steps of preparing the recipe

  1. First, peel the garlic and roughly blend it. It should not be pureed, specifies Sahra, from @on_spartage_tout. If you have a thermomix, then you can put it on speed 5 for 4 seconds, otherwise you can also do it in a blender or by hand.
  2. Then put a sheet of parchment paper in your Air fryer and add the blended garlic on top. Be careful, there must be the equivalent of several pods so that the sheet of parchment paper does not move in your Air fryer.
  3. You can then select the “dehydration” mode of your device and leave it for 6 hours.
  4. Once the time is up, remember to let your garlic cool then mix again to obtain the classic appearance of granulated garlic.

What to do with granulated garlic?

This granulated garlic will be different from that purchased in stores because it will be fresh! So it will be just as good as fresh garlic, if you don’t have any. You can use it in many preparations, for example in parsley, guacamole, puree or even green beans. If you are planning to make a prefou or even mussels stuffed with snail butter, then you can definitely use your granulated garlic. In fact, it’s convenient because you can almost put it in anything, as long as you like the taste. To store it, remember to put it in an airtight container or even in an old pot of garlic powder that you have finished.
