With the fantasy saga “The Wheel of Time,” Amazon Prime Video takes us on a journey through one of the most extensive literary works in history. The popular series is based on the novel series of the same name by author Robert Jordan, which originally comprises 15 volumes.
His story is about four friends Rand, Egwene, Perrin and Mat, who are rescued by the Aes Sedai Moiraine when bloodthirsty Trollocs attack their village. The magician senses that one of them is the Dragon Reborn, who will save the world from its fate.
You can also read the books in Germany. The novels were initially published by Heyne Verlag, which divided the original volumes into two to four volumes. The completed cycle of novels, which was published from 1993 to 2013, comprises 37 volumes in German translation.

The books in the “Wheel of Time” series follow a strict order that is only interrupted once. The 0th volume “The Call of Spring” tells the history of the wheel and was published between the 10th and 11th volumes.

In the first German edition of “The Wheel of Time” the original books were published in two or more parts. The first volume “The Eye Of The World” was published in 1993 in two books entitled “Threatening Shadows” and “The Eye of the World”. In total, 37 books from Heyne’s “The Wheel of Time” book series came onto the market in 20 years.
