There is a secret game on Firefox: Pong, but with unicorns

Web browsers sometimes have secrets. Did you know, for example, that Google Chrome has a hidden dinosaur game? This little t-rex has to jump over cacti, among other things. On Edge, the secret game is a game of surfing. On Vivaldi’s side, she’s a futuristic single-wheel biker. These games are accessible by doing some preliminary manipulations.

Do you use Firefox instead? Good news: there is also a mini-game in the bowels of the software. The mini-game is based on a great classic: pong, one of the oldest arcade games, released in 1972. The ball, however, does not exist in the Mozilla version. Instead, we send each other a unicorn! Yes, a unicorn. After all why not.

As for the others, the secret game is not easily revealed: it is necessary to go to the personalization of the browser and to move several items to reveal the tennis-unicorn. In the case of Firefox, it is even somewhat poorly thought out, because the manipulations will perhaps mess up the layout of the interface. But everything can be restored.

How do I enable Firefox’s secret game?

• Right-click with the mouse next to a tab ;
• Choose “ Customize Toolbar… » in the contextual menu;
• You are then in a new tab, called ” Customize Firefox » ;

At that point, you need to move all the elements in the Firefox interface, except the one called “ Flexible space », symbolized with a rectangle. The other tools must be dragged (by making a long press on them with the mouse and dragging the icon to the desired location) in the interface, that is to say above. You can move them to the first line, for example.

• A new icon then appears, at the very bottom of the screen: an icon with a unicorn’s head!
• Click on it to launch the game (a game starts immediately);
• Control your “paddle” with the directional keys on the keyboard (you are at the top)

The game then behaves like a part of pong classic: you have lives indicated on the left and you score a point each time the unicorn passes the opponent’s “racket”. The game stops if you then click the unicorn button or if you switch tabs or close the browser. If you reduce it, the game continues.

When you’ve had enough of them (we quickly go around the game), remember to put all the icons back in their original place, unless you want to keep them in your interface. Do not click on the “Default configuration” option, as this will rearrange as if you are installing Firefox for the first time. That’s definitely the last thing you want here.
