Comedian Gad Elmaleh announced on his Instagram account that his mom was about to start a brand new business. Spoiler: This one has to do with cooking.
Even with all the notoriety that we know him, Gad Elmaleh has never left aside the most important thing: the family. And this Friday, January 14, he announced a nice surprise that was close to his heart on his Instagram account: his mother, Régine, is about to launch a new business dedicated to the sale of couscous to take away. “She says that there is no age to undertake, do you agree?”, commented the comedian, apparently very proud of the risk-taking of the one who gave him life.
Gad Elmaleh’s mother’s business will be in collaboration with Clément Benoît, the founder of the delivery company called Stuart Delivery. At 66, Régine Elmaleh has therefore decided to embark on a whole new life adventure. His company will be called… Walida, which means “mother” in Arabic. She and her partner want to “distribute couscous around the world”. And to help him, Clément Benoît is full of praise for this dish, saying that it is “the best couscous he’s ever eaten”.
Gad Elmaleh believes in his mother’s project
And the Walida company will be able to count on the notoriety of Gad Elmaleh to have a good promotion. This is how on January 11, the comedian published a video on social networks showing his mother in full preparation of his famous couscous. A few days later, the latter also appeared in another publication with her collaborator preparing the delivery bags. Régine Elmaleh’s dishes (royal couscous, chicken, merguez, vegetables) will be available in Paris from January 26th. “The province, your cities will also be concerned and announced shortly”, could we read on Walida’s Instagram account, which already has nearly 23,000 subscribers.
