After an excellent Roborock S8 Ultra and a very attractive Q Revo, the manufacturer is launching two new mid-range robot vacuum cleaners to make this technology more accessible. The Roborock Q5 Pro and Q8 Max are thus arriving at IFA 2023.
While Roborock has just launched an excellent Q Revo, the manufacturer is strengthening its mid-range offer with two new references at IFA 2023, the Roborock Q5 Pro Series and Q8 Max Series. In addition to the intelligence embedded in its robot vacuum cleaners, the manufacturer plays the card of the superior capacities of its dust and water bins.
Intelligent floor vacuuming and washing
With its two new mid-range models, Roborock and wants to mark the occasion and worry the competition. Thus, the Roborock Q5 Pro displays the design codes of the house for an elegant robot which will only exist in a black version. It will offer a suction power of 5,500 Pa, but it is its double rubber brush technology that is likely to make the difference. The two associated should enable better capture of large and small residues. It offers a dust container with a capacity of 470 ml and 350 ml for water, figures above the average.
The Q5 Pro+ version will also offer a self-draining base with a capacity of 2.5 L and which you will only have to replace every 7 weeks depending on the brand. On the other hand, unlike the Q Revo, it will not wash the mop or fill the water tray. In addition, he will not be able to spot and identify obstacles. The Q5 Pro will be marketed in October at a price of 429.99 euros and the Q5 Pro + (with base) at 699.99 euros.
The Roborock Q8 Max is pretty close to the Q5 with dual rubber brush technology, a laser rangefinder, and a mop. The physical differences are in the washing of the floors with 30 levels of water flow to best customize the efficiency. If it has the same laser rangefinder as that of the Q5, the Q8 Max also offers a torch on the front which allows the robot to locate and identify obstacles.
The charging base also offers self-emptying of the robot’s dust container with a capacity of 2.5 L or, according to Roborock, 7 weeks before having to replace it. Like the Q5 don’t rely on it for mop washing or refilling the robot’s water tray. The Q8 Max will be available in October at a price of 599 euros and its version with a self-emptying base, the Q8 Max+ at 819 euros.
A few details on the intelligence of robot vacuum cleaners
At the intelligence level, we still have the function that makes it possible to locate and identify obstacles when treating the ground (only the Q8 Max). According to Roborock, the two robots are able to create a map six times faster than previous models. The application now offers a quick cleaning mode, in theory 30% faster than classic cleaning. The brand adds a more precise 3D map and even offers a refill that is based on periods when electricity is the cheapest.
Like the Q Revo, it is possible to specify the alignment of the parquet slats so that the robot follows it and thus avoid potential scratches. Finally, he can even suggest prohibited areas to avoid incidents during soil treatment.
