Free has discreetly increased the price of one of its mobile plans. The problem is that it had already increased just a few days ago, making it two more to follow.

The war rages among operators. Customers no longer want to pay tens of euros to benefit from maximum mobile data and packages are forced to be reviewed to remain competitive. At the house of RED by SFR For example, 100 GB monthly costs €10.99without engagement. Bouygues Telecom rises to 130 GB for €12.99as Sosh. Last February, Free had to respond by modifying its Free Series package. Its price has thus fallen at the same time as its data envelope, going from 140 to 110 GB.

The Free offer has since returned to 140 GB per month in Metropolitan France and 18 GB from Europe and the French Overseas Territories. It allows the unlimited calls, SMS and MMS. However, the connection is made by 4G and 4G+ only. After one year, you automatically switch to the Free 5G plan at €19.99 per month without commitment. In the meantime, the Free Series was €9.99. “Was”, because its price increased quickly after release, reaching €10.99 at the beginning of April. It was barely 15 days ago, and yet customers face a new increase.

This Free package increases again after a first recent increase

By consulting the Free Series plan page, you can see that its monthly price has increased by one euro. In total, the price increased by €2 in the space of 15 days. Small consolation: this did not concern subscribers benefiting from a more attractive offer. New customers will have no other choice than to pay €11.99 per month to benefit from it.

The operator still remains in the race if we compare this new price to those of the competition. As a reminder, the 5G package which is unlocked after one year has 250 GB of mobile data monthly, and 35 GB usable in 100 countries around the world. Let’s all hope that the increases will not continue at this sustained pace, the bill would end up being particularly steep before the end of the year.
