The US actor Tommy Lister is dead. As his manager confirms, the "Friday" star last suffered from Covid-19 symptoms.

American actor Tommy "Tiny" Lister has died at the age of 62. According to a report by the TMZ website, he was found lifeless by rescue workers in his home in the US state of California and pronounced dead on the spot. The authorities did not provide any information about the exact circumstances, but it was a natural death. His manager also explained that Lister was sick with Covid-19 and that his health had deteriorated again in the last few days after he had actually survived the infection.

He recently suffered from severe shortness of breath. Lister had his most famous role in the cult film "Friday" at the side of the rapper Ice Cube (51) in 1995. Ice Cube has already expressed his grief on his Instagram account. Like the musician, Lister came from the notorious gangster stronghold of Compton at the gates of Los Angeles. He has had several striking Hollywood roles – including in the films "The Fifth Element" and "The Dark Knight". In addition to his acting career, Lister was also active as a professional wrestler in the 1990s.
