Senator Bernie Sanders became an internet hype with his outfit at Joe Biden's inauguration. Now Toni Garrn has also paid tribute to him.
While other guests were dressing up, Senator Bernie Sanders (79) focused on practicality: matching the weather, he appeared with an olive-colored Parker and knitted mittens for the inauguration of the new US President Joe Biden (78) on Wednesday in front of the Capitol in Washington, D.C. A picture of Sanders then became a meme and numerous stars like Sarah Jessica Parker (55, "Sex and the City") used it to put the Senator in a new setting. Model Toni Garrn (28) now went one step further. She completely recreated the look.
On Instagram, she posted a picture in which she is sitting in front of a statue wearing glasses, face mask, Parker and knitted mittens, which is very close to Sanders' look. "Definitely the easiest trend I've ever had to follow," wrote the model. In addition to many comments from fans with laughing emojis and compliments for the outfit, Garrn's husband Alex Pettyfer (30) couldn't help but say: "I was wondering where my jacket and gloves are! And that's still my favorite glasses. "
His wife promptly replied, "These are my alpaca gloves that I just bought. Don't mix up the fashion facts." In an Instagram story, Garrn showed that she not only sat at the statue, but also on stones in the park with her iconic look.
