New week and new predictions for the FIFA 23 TOTW 10 Team of the Week. As usual, EA will offer new IF cards based on the results of the best professional players from the past week. For the moment, the TOTW (IF) card system seems to be the same as last year with a Featured card (highlighted) as well as fairly standard boosts depending on the level of the card. We therefore present to you our predictions for the new cards which will be available in the packs from Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Important : A TOTW 10 is not guaranteed to be released on Wednesday January 4th. However, logic would dictate that EA finds its pre-World Cup rhythm this week.

Guardians Team of the Week 10
Jeremias Ledesma, Cadiz, La Liga
Already honored with a TOTW card earlier in the season, Jeremias Ledesma continues his effective outings with a point earned against Almeira. The Argentinian goalkeeper had a great game and a second IF version would be a rather interesting option to link the country’s many cards on a hybrid formation.
Ilan Meslier, Leeds United, Premier League
Already present in TOTW 7, the French player could be back with a second Team of the Week card on FIFA 23. With an excellent performance against Newcastle, Ilan Meslier was once again the hero for Leeds, allowing his club to get a valuable point.
Defender Predictions
Virgil Van Dijk, Liverpool, Premier League
If the Reds lost on Monday evening, Liverpool also played earlier last week. There, Mo Salah’s teammates were able to take advantage of a nice goal from their superstar in defense against Aston Villa. VVD already has a special WC Stories map but this TOTW would be a much cheaper alternative and just as usable at this stage of the game.
James Tarkowski, Everton, Premier League
Few fans would have bet on a draw between Everton and Man City. However, the favorites for the title were held in check 1 to 1. Among the players to highlight in this meeting, it is considered that defender James Tarkowski really illustrated himself. So EA might choose it for a TOTW card.
Midfielders
Antoine Griezmann, Atletico Madrid, La Liga
Excellent during the World Cup, Griezmann has not lost his momentum found in Qatar. The world champion thus distinguished himself with two assists in the 2-0 victory over Atlético Madrid. Note that on the Meta plan, this new special card will be light years away from the PTG, certainly not affecting its price.
Martin Odegaard, Arsenal, Premier League
What if Arsenal succeeded in their bet in the Premier League this year? This is what all fans of the London club must be thinking following the results of the recovery. Comfortable leaders, Arsenal won their two games of the week following very good performances from Odegaard. The Norwegian player already has a TOTW and an RTTK, this new card will be an in-between whose interest will nevertheless be limited.
Which Attackers in the TOTW 10?
Marcus RashfordMan UnitedPremier League
What a recovery for Marcus Rashford! The English player seems to have found his stride with two goals and an assist in two games. Rashford has therefore twice been the key man for the Red Devils who now seem in a position to aim for a place in the top 4 for the second part of the season.
Luis Openda, RC Lens, Ligue 1
Victorious against PSG on Sunday evening, RC Lens confirmed their position as outsiders to the title of champion of France. Given the magnitude of this victory over the undefeated leader of Ligue 1, EA should highlight a player and Luis Openda seems to be the best place. The Belgian player will get his second TOTW card there, following his goal and his assist. Enough to have a fun card although far from being Meta.
FIFA 23 Featured Map of the Week
Douglas Luis, Aston Villa, Premier League
One of last year’s new features, the Team of the Week Featured card is back in FIFA 23. For TOTW 10, our pick is Douglas Luis. The Brazilian was excellent against Tottenham, allowing his team to win the match 2-0. However, even with a boost, it seems unlikely that the Feature map will be playable.

We list here players who have a chance of appearing there but who, for various reasons should miss the selection of EA. The interest of listing these cards is to protect you from an investment point of view (see below) and thus potentially take some risks on less expected players.

How to get TOTW cards in FIFA 23?
TOTW cards are often interesting at high level but also for DCEs as well as to achieve specific objectives in friendly match mode. Therefore, even on players whose overall rating would be quite low, it is necessary to know how to get these TOTW cards on FIFA 23.
The first source is obviously the transfer market, where you can find a player’s TOTW cards in special versions of their cards. Be careful, however, because the IF cards sell for much more than the basic version. This is explained in particular by their rarity but also by the fact that the base price (in discard) is already quite high.
A second source remains gold packs of the game, which have these special cards for one week (from Wednesday to the following Wednesday at 7 p.m.). So be careful because once this week is over, it will be impossible to drop them in packs.
Additionally, Team of the Week cards are obtainable as a reward for FUTChampion (WL) depending on your ranking. If this year, the rewards could change, EA should not remove the presence of the TOTW cards. Similarly, the weekly ranking in Rivals allows to obtain TOTW cards although again, in FUT Champion mode (red).
Finally, specific TOTW Packs will be present during the season in ECDalthough the latter are often unprofitable because they are totally random.
Investments linked to TOTW predictions on FIFA 23
If the cards of the players selected in the Team of the week are often good sources of investment, it is also possible to earn credits via the TOTW. Indeed, there are several methods to speculate on the market.
Thus, the simplest and most regular is to bet on current TOTW players’ normal Gold cards. These are not present in the packs during the week, limiting the quantity of cards. If a player is looking to use these cards for DCEs or for their team, the prices can spike a lot. So buy the cards in anticipation of this rise, speculating on TOTW’s predictions. This technique is called OOP (Out of Packs, understand outside of packs) and also works for special cards in events. The more specific the card (big league, nation and rare position), the greater its potential. For example, a player like Jonathan Claus is very interesting because he is French, from Ligue 1 and on a relatively rare DD position in the Gold card. Therefore, his price in the Gold version could easily triple in OOP.
In addition, another method is to analyze future good TOTW cards and thus speculate on the cards related to them. For example, if Haaland receives a Team of the Week card, it’s likely players will be looking to incorporate him into their FUT roster. Thus, they will also seek to link this new card with other Bundesliga players, Dortmund players or even Norwegian players in order to create the best possible links. It is therefore possible to invest in cards allowing perfect links, just before the release of the new Team of the week. This technique will be useful with the release of special cards until around mid-December, before which time Team of the Week starts to look less interesting on FIFA 23.
Note that these two strategies require good anticipation of the market, but also finding the right timing. Often the cards to buy go up quickly, so you need to plan ahead who to buy. Also, this bull run won’t last long, so it’s necessary to play for a few days and quickly sell your cards.
