TV tips: "The Masked Singer" with new episodes

In "The Masked Singer" (ProSieben) celebrities are again performing in flashy costumes. The "Chancellery" (Das Erste) has to do with a murder charge. In "Munich Murder" (ZDFneo), a greedy landlord ends up dead at a lamp post.

"The Masked Singer" shows ten stars from all walks of life in oversized, elaborate costumes that make them completely unrecognizable. One can only speculate about the identity of the prominent undercover singers … The viewers vote for their favorites. For the masked celebrity with the fewest votes, the secret will be revealed at the end of the show: Which star is hidden under the mask?

8:30 p.m., Das Erste, Die Kanzlei: Against All Reason, Lawyer Series

A Turkish caretaker has been in custody for six months. He is charged with killing an elderly gentleman in his apartment. The prosecution is based on the autopsy report, which speaks of a fatal blow. Everything speaks against the firm's client: The deceased's neighbor claims to have heard the caretaker's quarrel with the deceased.

"How we became what we are": Using the example of prominent résumés, the documentation paints a personal and touching picture of the mood of the German post-war years. 75 years after the end of the war, prominent actors describe their dramatic childhood experiences. They tell how, despite all the horror and privation, they managed to make their way successfully – in post-war Germany, into which they grew.

A serious car accident completely robs Maria (Ursula Strauss) of her memory. Husband Bruno (Harald Krassnitzer) is furiously looking for the fugitive accident driver and discovers that Maria had secrets from him. When Maria wakes up from the coma, Bruno is overjoyed at first. He believes that family life will be like it was before. Maria, however, is indifferent to her husband and children. Then Lukas Horvath, conductor (Philipp Hochmair) at the State Opera, seeks contact with Maria and claims that they were lovers. Meanwhile, Bruno tries on his own to research what happened before the accident.

8:15 p.m., ZDFneo, Munich Murder: Living and Dying in Schwabing

The place of longing Munich and its notorious three investigators, Angelika Flierl (Bernadette Heerwagen), Harald Neuhauser (Marcus Mittermeier) and Ludwig Schaller (Alexander Held) from the basement of the presidium, have a problem. A horribly battered corpse is found in the famous district of Munich-Schwabing. The victim was tied to a lantern with floral wire and displayed, almost like on a torture stake. The three of them grab the case, which is teeming with obscure participants, and everything seems threatened by the global hipster cultures that are also spreading in Munich.
