Ubisoft has unveiled the future of Assassin’s Creed. The series about the assassins with chic hoods will get several new games in the near future. One location should make fans particularly happy.

Assassin’s Creed in Japan: Ubisoft makes fan dreams come true
Ubisoft has finally taken pity and fulfilled one of the greatest wishes of Assassin’s Creed fans. The action-adventure series moves to feudal Japan, where you can experience adventures as a shinobi. However, you still have to wait a while.
The next Assassin’s Creed, called Mirage, is scheduled for release in 2023 and will be set in the Middle East. All we currently know about the trip to Japan is that it is being developed by Ubisoft Québec and currently the name Codename Red carries. However, this is only a placeholder. Also announced for the future was Codename Hexe, which is said to be very different from previous Assassin’s Creed games.
With an Assassin’s Creed in Japan, Ubisoft makes many fans happy. The calls for more stealth action in Asian go back a few years. Fan theories had repeatedly claimed that this time the next Assassin’s Creed would really be set in Japan.

Assassin’s Creed goes back to its roots
As Codename Red takes you to a whole new land, the next part of the series goes back to the origin of the series. As already suspected in some leaks, Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in the Middle East, the setting of the very first Assassin’s Creed.
This time though, you’ll be jumping and climbing through colorful and bustling Baghdad. The focus should be more on parkour, on stealth and of course on the targeted elimination of target persons lie. The protagonist is Basim Ibn Ishaq, whom fans will already know from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Mirage tells his story and how he became a master assassin. Here he has a special ability with which he can eliminate multiple targets in a short time. Compared to the latest games in the series, the action-adventure should also be a bit more linear again, so that the story is more in focus.
There’s even more: Ubisoft is also currently working on a mobile game that will be played in China standalone multiplayer game and on a Netflix series. Assassin’s Creed fans will certainly not be bored in the next few years.
