So horrible it’s cool again? We see the “Ugly Christmas Sweater” every year. This is how you style the fashion sin correctly

Years ago, when the slightly hypothermic lawyer Mark Darcy (Colin Firth, 61) appeared in the cult comedy “Bridget Jones – Chocolate for Breakfast” with a particularly silly version, everyone laughed at them: the colorful knitted sweaters with huge and usually more as kitschy Christmas motifs on the chest. To this day nothing has changed in their popularity. In the Norwegian Netflix series “Christmas at Home”, too, the protagonist regularly slips into an “Ugly Christmas Jumper” with a Rudolph print and a motif hood. Nevertheless, the sweater variant offers a few cool styling options.

The sweater can look really casual with chic, tight-fitting trousers and high heels. It is of course important that the possible trend piece is not combined with other colorful items of clothing. For those who still find it too difficult to put on the colorful sweater, they should simply ask their siblings or friends if they would like to join.

Sequins for more glamor

For the higher glamor factor, a Christmas sweater with sequins and glitter is ideal. Women can do without eye-catching accessories, because less is usually more. Anyone who loves style breaks can also combine rough boots with the glitter sweater, so the idiosyncratic knitted sweater looks cooler. So that the Christmas sweater is in focus, the rest of the outfit should be kept simple. Subtle colors (black, white or gray) are ideal as a basic.
