- The United States is offering Ukraine a government loan guarantee of up to $1 billion.

The US government wants to help Ukraine. With the offer, the country should, among other things, implement its economic reform agenda. It will strengthen Ukraine’s ability to ensure economic stability, growth and prosperity for the population in the face of “Russia’s destabilizing behavior,” it said.
The US has already granted Ukraine three such loan guarantees, it said. According to the State Department, the United States has provided more than $2 billion in foreign aid to Ukraine since 2014.
According to their own statements, the G7 countries, together with international financial institutions and the International Monetary Fund, have supported Ukraine with tens of billions of dollars in aid and loans since 2014.
