Anyone looking for the right ingredients for a romantic dinner should take a look at foods with aphrodisiac properties.

It's Valentine's Day again soon. But this year, there will be nothing with a romantic dinner in the noble restaurant. No problem, because isn't it much nicer to conjure up the perfect Valentine's dinner for yourself and your loved one or your loved one yourself? Buying the right ingredients makes you want more. After all, natural aphrodisiacs haven't harmed anyone.

The necessary seasoning

True mood makers slumber in the well-stocked spice shelf. For example, ginseng, which comes from Asia, primarily increases sexual desire in women. The amino acid arginine contained in the roots is responsible for this. If you like it a little more fiery, you should use ginger or even chilli. The pungency emanating from them causes the body to release endorphins, which are involved in the formation of sex hormones, among other things, after the feeling of pain subsides.

Full, but not flat

Healthy side dishes are an advantage so that the romantic menu not only brings mood, but also saturates. Spinach and artichokes are particularly recommended here. Both have a high manganese content and thus promote the biologically active sex hormone testosterone. Equally beneficial for lust: asparagus. It is not for nothing that the bars are used in Ayurvedic medicine in the treatment of potency and pleasure disorders. The fibers of the rods contain asparagine, which improves the blood supply to the body and therefore also to the abdomen. Pumpkin and sunflower seeds as well as carrots and avocados are also said to have a lust-increasing effect.

Fish lovers get their money's worth with the aphrodisiac dinner. Why? The omgea-3 fatty acids contained in salmon, for example, stimulate blood circulation, get it going and also promote sperm production. Oysters, on the other hand, are full of zinc. This boosts the production of testosterone.

Sweet temptation at the end

Strawberries with whipped cream fill the cliché. So why not try something new with dessert? Pomegranates, for example. The fruit is supposed to make you want to love and the juice of which optimizes the mobility of the sperm. Because of their vitalising phosphorus content, figs are also considered to bring sweet pleasure. If that's not sweet enough, you can treat yourself to some honey. The vitamin B6 contained in it contributes, among other things, to the regulation of hormonal activity. The English expression for honeymoon "honeymoon" should therefore not come from random.

Dark chocolate and vanilla – a duo that always works. Chocolate cannot be proven to have an aphrodisiac effect, but it still makes you happy. It is different with vanilla: it contains substances that are very similar to the sex pheromone.
