Vanguard: Players are calling for an improved HUD

The players of call of duty vanguard have indeed noted some changes since the mid-season update which took place on January 12th. One of the most noticeable changes was the one concerning what is called the HUD of the game, namely, all the information concerning the player but also on the elements which surround him.

Vanguard Players Call For HUD Change

This change has had a real impact on the quality of life of players since, when they find themselves in the middle of a game and they decide to pick up a weapon on the ground, they do not see the name of the weapon but the name of its variant, and this is a real problem.

On Reddit, the user master chiefs raised this issue, and he doesn’t seem to be the only one who wants a quick change since the majority of them think the same.

Indeed, the fact of seeing the name of the variant of the weapon inscribed and not that of the real weapon can lead to confusion, and if they think of picking up, for example, an MP-40 when they find themselves in reality with a double barrel, it will totally change the way they play afterwards.

On the Reddit post, some suggest Sledgehammer Games adopt the system present in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with the name of the weapon appearing all the time, not a white sketch that is difficult to recognize and disappears after a few seconds, nor the name of these confusing variants.

Some go even further by insinuating that the studio has implemented this system with a phonetic naming of weapons in order to confuse and encourage players to spend money in weapon packs…

Anyway, we can hope that Sledgehammer Games will rectify the situation in the days to come through an update. As a reminder, the studio recently announced that it wanted to deploy several updates in order to “fix” the game.

The world of the video game industry has just experienced a huge earthquake with the potential takeover of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft. Therefore, we are entitled to wonder what will happen to the famous Call of Duty license.
