Thursday, December 30, 2021 on M6, the three finalists of the show The best pastry chef cooked for the very last time. But the one who delighted the taste buds of Cyril Lignac and Mercotte and therefore won the adventure is Maud.
It’s official, Maud succeeded Élodie, winner of the Best pastry chef Last year. This Thursday, December 30, 2021, the candidate, the youngest of the competition, indeed won the final and the trophy. “Don’t change anything you will go very far”, congratulated Mercotte. “The three of you have had an exceptional career. I am proud of you”, for his part declared Cyril Lignac. A special program during which the members of the jury, under the leadership of Marie Portonalo, challenged the candidates on christmas theme. On the program: several surprises sprinkled in the stoves of Maud, Alexandre and Aya. So, during Cyril’s challenge, Santa Claus himself came to bring the covers of their hypothetical cookbook. Works printed in giant format and exhibited in the tent. Moreover, rather than the usual recipe, the candidates found on their work plan a great gift to open before embarking on the technical test. Inside: a snow globe to be reproduced identically. As for the instructions, they were issued on a greeting card.
“You are a UFO”
Another gift for this final, the chef Christophe Michalak came to taste the creations of the candidates. During this final creative test, Aya, Alexandre and Maud thus realized a tree 80 cm high. Finally, the last part of the show was also rich in emotion. Indeed, the relatives of the three finalists paid a visit during the competition. It was first Alexander’s female dog who appeared, followed by his parents and his brother. Aya was then surprised by her companion. As for Maud, it was her parents and her sister who came to greet her. And while all were moved to tears, they couldn’t afford to waste a minute in cooking. Some will ultimately find it difficult to complete all the preparations, like Aya. Finally, Maud presented a Christmas tree dressed in macaroons and a praline and coffee dessert. “I’m totally amazed. You’re 16 … you’re a UFO”, exclaimed Christophe Michalak. A great career to come.
