Season 2 of Vikings: Valhalla, available on Netflix, was rich in twists and turns for the three main heroes: Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson) and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter).
In these new episodes, the trio has separated to better advance towards their destiny, but the Vikings will experience new extraordinary adventures that will make them walk in the footsteps of their illustrious ancestors such as Ragnar or Lagertha.
Like the end of the inaugural season, the second season ends with many questions left unanswered. Will Leif and Harald find what they are looking for in Constantinople? Will Harald fight for the heart of Elena, who became Empress of the Byzantine Empire after her marriage to Emperor Romanos?
Will the truce between Kattegat, led by Queen Aelfgifu, and Jomsborg, led by Freydis, be compromised? Will Queen Emma take revenge on the Earl of Wessex? All these questions will find answers in a season 3, which is already in production!
A season 3 already ordered
Fans can be reassured, they will know the continuation of the adventures of the heroes of Vikings: Valhalla. It is rare that Netflix offers several seasons of its new series. In general, the American giant expects success on the platform based on the number of hours of viewing before deciding to renew a series.

And yet, Netflix had already ordered 24 episodes of the Vikings spin-off at once! Each season has eight episodes, so it’s been 3 seasons on the clock for the moment. But showrunner Jeb Stuart obviously hopes the series will have many more seasons.
He had, moreover, specified to Entertainment Weekly that he had a lot of ideas for Vikings: Valhalla and that he was already preparing the different seasons at the time of the production of the first burst of episodes:
“We have several great characters and stories in different countries. I think you almost have to be able to look beyond the horizon. When I was pitching the show, I was trying to present it as a multi-season work because, that way I could develop those characters in the storylines over a longer period of time.”
