Teased for a few days, the vivo X Fold
is now all official, and even has a launch date.
Unveiled alongside two other products, the vivo X Note and vivo Pad, the Chinese brand’s folding smartphone was illustrated in a short video.
It’s the butterfly effect
In a video with epic music, vivo revealed some details of its future X Fold, confirming in passing that it is indeed a folding smartphone. Given the bright colors presented, there is little doubt about the use of an OLED screen on this device, rumors already talking about such a component.
In addition to this screen configuration, the vivo X Fold, “Butterfly” by its code name, could carry a 4600 mAh battery compatible with 80 W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless charging. the phone thickness would be 12.56 mm closed, for 6.28 mm when unfolded. It is therefore thinner than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3, peaking at 14.4 mm when closed.
