Bride treats her bridesmaids with 13 unbelievable demands

Some people have very specific ideas about their own wedding and place high demands on guests and participants. A bride from Texas demands a lot, especially from her bridesmaids, as a Reddit user now shared.
Basically, it is an advantage and admirable when people are able to tell others clearly and precisely what they expect from them. Sometimes it just comes across as a bit brash and funny, at least if the expectations are very high and special – like the story that Reddit user @justasianenough now with the Weddingshaming-Community shared.
Unexpected honor
When her acquaintance, she calls her L, asked if she wanted to be her bridesmaid, she was initially surprised, writes the user. L is the older sister of her best friend and is actually not so close to her that she counted herself among her closest confidants and possible bridesmaid candidates. Still, she agreed, but immediately pointed out to the bride-to-be that she might not be of such great help with the wedding preparations because she lives in New York, while the bride lives in Texas. L promptly dropped the first bombshell: she only asked her as a bridesmaid because she was pretty, “but not so pretty that everyone would just look at her”. Her fiancé has six brothers and a best friend as groomsmen, so she also needs a sufficiently large group of bridesmaids, L explained.
Against this background, the task of the Reddit user appeared to be less meaningful, but quite feasible. And so she stuck to her promise. For the time being. Because only a few days later L sent her and the other bridesmaids a list with the following 13 regulations and requirements.

Tattoos
No tattoos. ALL tattoos MUST BE COVERED. No exceptions.

Visual aids
No glasses. Anyone who needs a visual aid MUST get contact lenses or go without them for a day.

hair
No long hair. If you have long hair, you have to have it cut so that it is shorter than mine. I expect everyone to wear their hair down for wedding and I want a uniform look. If you have a hair color similar to mine, I expect them to dye their hair for the wedding.

complexion
No tanning cream / spray. On my big day, I should be the only sun kissed goddess.

Nails
Nails must be short and “Essie Ballet Slipper” must be pink. I WILL SEE IT IF IT’S NOT BALLET SLIPPER.

Outfit
Everyone has to buy their own dress. I’ll send you a link to it, it’s not too expensive, so don’t worry about having to pay for it yourself. You MUST also wear a strapless bra. I don’t want to see nipples or those weird bumps from nipple patches.

I expect everyone to lose weight and look GOOD on my day. For some, that means twenty to thirty pounds, and that’s not mean, it’s true.

pregnancy
DO NOT GET PREGNANT. WHO GETS PREGNANT IS UNLOADED. It would be the ultimate betrayal. You should want everyone to focus on me on my day, and we all know that pregnant women draw attention to themselves.

Relationship status
Anyone planning to get engaged has to wait until AFTER my wedding. We all know that engagements attract attention too.

Events
Mandatory events that you have to attend: hen week, bridal party, rehearsal dinner, hair / makeup test run, wedding dress shopping, after-wedding brunch. You pay for the hen week, the hair / makeup rehearsal and the styling on the wedding day yourself.

I expect everyone to buy bridesmaid swimsuits and robes.

Hen party week will take place sometime in March 2022. Start saving, we’re going to a resort in Mexico.

To ask?
If you have problems with any of this list, you can pull yourself together or get out now. I can replace you, that’s no problem. Don’t worry, I won’t get angry. Then just don’t expect an invitation to my wedding. Anyone who can’t be there for me with all of this shouldn’t be there at all on my special day.
Immediately after she had received the list with the demands, she wrote to L that unfortunately she would not step in as the bridesmaid because she could not keep all the required appointments. How good that L made it so clear from the start what was in store for her bridesmaids. All that remains is to wish her that she can find enough people willing to meet her expectations.
