who offers cashback, to compensate (a little) for your sales expenses?

Do you already feel guilty about doing the sales? Note that thanks to the cashback system, increasingly offered by online banks, part of your purchases can be refunded directly to your bank account. Interesting, right?

Cashback has already existed for several years, mainly across the Atlantic and in Asia. It is gradually taking root in France, in particular thanks to the offers of online banks and payment fintechs. This system allows you to recover a certain percentage of your expenses, following your purchases (online and/or in stores).

Which online banks for cashback?

The Boursorama Banque online bank, via its The Corner platform, allows its customers to recover a percentage of their expenses, paid directly into their bank account. A platform accessible only to Boursorama customers, it gives access to around fifty brands, including La Redoute, Amazon, Hotels.com, Center Parcs and Zalando. Entirely secure, The Corner allows the user not to leave his banking universe, and to directly check the purchases made in real time.

In the same dynamic, Orange Bank allows its Premium customers to benefit from cashback, this time limit to Orange storesand to the online merchant site. Online banking makes it possible to recover 5% sums spent on equipment and accessories, up to a limit of 100 euros per purchase. In addition, it reimburses 5% the amount of Orange bills (telephone and/or Internet), directly to the bank account, up to a limit of 3 euros per month. To benefit from these cashbacks, you must have a Premium card (7.99 euros per month), or a Premium Pack (12.99 euros monthly).

The Revolut nobank allows its customers of the Metal plan only to recover 0.10% cashback on purchases made in Europe (1% for the rest of the world). All payments by physical or virtual card are affected, if made with eligible merchants.

My French Bank, a subsidiary of La Banque Postale, also includes cashback in online banking partner shops, and discounted purchase vouchers, for customers of its Premium Idal account.

Monabanq is currently in partnership with the company Booking.com, allowing its customers to benefit from a 4% refund for any reservation made before June 30, 2022. The amount of the cashback is paid directly into the Monabanq bank account, at the earliest 64 days after the end of the stay.

Cashback at payment fintechs

Among payment fintechs, Aumax for me offers all of its customers cashback, in particular with its standard Aumax offer. The Aumax Premium, Responsible and Metal formulas allow for cashback boost. To take advantage of it, simply make a purchase from a partner merchant, online or in store, with a bank card, or activate the Cashback option from the mobile application. The bank account is then credited with the cashback percentage within a maximum period of 20 working days.

Some fintechs use cashback to promote local merchants: this is the case of Pumpkin, which allows its customers to directly view on its site the partner merchants of its city and the amount of associated cashback. National offers are also available (Etam, Just Eat, Auchan, Franprix, Booking.com…). Thanks to cashback, Pumpkin estimates that its customers receive an average of 150 euros per year.

Lydia has set up an automatic cashback system of up to 30%: simply activate cashback on the application, pay for purchases as normal, and Lydia then takes care of crediting the accumulated amount directly to the account. all discounts in connection with purchases made.

Finally, Vivid Money also offers cashback: subject to having spent at least 500 euros the previous month, the customer receives 0.5% cashback for all purchases made by card in euros with the Standard package, and 1% for purchases made in foreign currencies (up to a limit of 20 euros in cashback per month). With the Prime offer, the cashback increases to 1.5% for all purchases made in euros (2% in foreign currencies), and even up to 25% in the event of purchases from partner brands (Amazon, Nike, Ebay, etc.), within the overall limit of 150 euros.

Possible cashback from traditional banks?

Few traditional establishments highlight cashback in their offers, with the exception of three big banks: the Credit Agricolewith its site Malica; LCL with City Store, allowing you to benefit from between 1.5 and 8% cashback; and the Societe Generale. The latter, for example, offers up to 20% reimbursement on purchases made in-store, online and on the mobile application, from 1,000 brands.
