The show is moderated by Günther Jauch. A new episode awaits you once a week, but the quiz show also offers many specials and themed programs.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?: The Concept

In the show, five candidates have the chance to win one million euros if they choose the correct answer to 15 questions with four given answer options. Various jokers are available to the candidates to answer the questions. The game ends when the candidate answers a question incorrectly, solves the million dollar question or voluntarily drops out. If the answer is wrong, the candidate falls back to the last security level. If he drops out, he takes with him the winning amount that belongs to the last question answered.

Tip! If you would like to play on WWM, you can do so online on the RTL website. When the broadcast begins, you will see the same questions that the candidate is asked.

WWM: Jokers and winning levels

Each candidate always has three jokers available: the 50:50 joker, the telephone joker and the audience joker. If he chooses the risk variant, the second security level is omitted, but he gets the additional joker. In the gambler special, the candidate cannot vote. He has all four jokers, but can only use them for the 16,000 euro question. If he uses a joker in front of it, the other jokers expire.
