After Willi Herren’s death in April, the Cologne public prosecutor’s office can rule out third-party debt.

The public prosecutor’s office in Cologne has completed its “investigation into the death of Mr. Willi Herren”. That has Senior Public Prosecutor Ulrich Bremer confirms the RTL broadcaster. Neither investigations by the police nor investigations by the Cologne Institute for Forensic Medicine, which autopsied Herren’s body, had revealed “indications of third-party culpability”. The singer and actor died unexpectedly last April at the age of 45.

According to Bremer, more detailed information on the circumstances of death or the cause of death should not be given. The results of “chemical-toxicological analyzes” that have also been carried out should therefore not be published. When asked by the news agency spot on news in April, Bremer had already confirmed that the autopsy had shown “no evidence of external violence”.

Theft and arson

Additional investigations should still be ongoing, as the station’s report now says. Shortly after Herren’s death, there was a break-in in his apartment, and one of the singer’s potato pancakes, the “Rievkoochebud”, had burned down completely. “The investigations conducted against unknown persons for arson (” food truck “) and for broken seals / burglary (in the apartment at the time) are ongoing,” said Bremer, according to RTL.
