With the patch day in December 2021, Microsoft will also roll out an update for Windows 10, with which users are recommended to upgrade to Windows 11 immediately after the first reboot across the entire screen. The prerequisite is of course that the Windows 10 computer used is ready for Windows 11 (here in the mega test). For some time now, users have received the following message in the Windows 10 settings (under Windows Update) about the Windows 11 upgrade:

But it can be even more intrusive: On Wednesday we installed the new cumulative update on Windows 10, which has been rolled out via Windows Update since December Patch Day. After restarting the computer, we were greeted not by our login screen, but by the

Even if the user acknowledges the request by clicking on “Refuse upgrade”, Microsoft does not give up yet. Another full-screen message appears to change your mind. The other advantages of Windows 11 compared to Windows 10 are listed. Only after we refused this advice were we allowed to log into Windows 10 and continue working on the computer.
