Moscow probably wants to introduce textbooks in Ukraine as well

Moscow has written a new textbook that retells history from 1945 from the Kremlin’s point of view. According to British information, it is also to be issued in the occupied territories. The aim is to undermine the Ukrainian national identity.
According to the British government, Russia is continuing not only its fighting but also its information war in Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense in London referred to a new textbook on Russian history that will also be distributed in schools in the occupied territories from September 1st.
“The book praises the so-called military special operation and describes Ukraine as an ultra-terrorist state.” The deputy chief of the Kremlin administration, Sergey Kiriyenko, traveled to Donetsk in the Russian-occupied part of eastern Ukraine on August 15, according to the daily update of the British short message service X, formerly Twitter. He visited schools there and checked their integration into the Russian education system.
In the Zaporizhia region, the occupation administration received instructions from Russia concerning new standards for the accreditation of educational institutions, the British wrote. Journalists from Russia would also be used in the media in the occupied territories. “Russia’s aim is to create a pro-Kremlin information space in the occupied territories in order to undermine Ukrainian national identity.”
