Microsoft will continue to expand Xbox Cloud Gaming
To meet demand and make games accessible to more people, Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) is opening today to players in Argentina and New Zealand.
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in Argentina and New Zealand can play hundreds of games from the cloud on Apple and Android phones and tablets, Windows PCs, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, and coming soon on Smart TVs with our partner Samsung.
- Like gamers in other countries, gamers in Argentina and New Zealand can play Fortnite through Xbox Cloud Gaming for free and with no subscription required.
Microsoft will offer new gaming experiences for Microsoft Edge and Windows 11
We continue to work with all teams across Microsoft to bring you great gaming experiences. New updates are coming soon for Windows 11 to continue improving those experiences.
- Optimizations for windowed mode games are currently being tested within the Windows Insider Program. These have been designed to drastically reduce latency and offer interesting features for games, such as Auto HDR or Variable Refresh Rate (VRR).
- A new HDR Calibration app will help you improve color accuracy and consistency on your HDR-enabled display.
- The Game Pass Widget will let you navigate through Game Pass games to discover them and easily relaunch titles you’ve played recently.
- The Controller bar will contain a list of your recent games as well as shortcuts to the most popular launchers, including the Xbox app. It’ll let you resume your games or access Xbox Cloud Gaming, without a keyboard or mouse. This feature is also in the testing phase within the Windows Insider program.
We’re also excited to tell you more about the evolution of Microsoft Edge, designed to make your life easier and help us make gaming accessible to everyone, around the world. New gaming features are coming soon to the desktop version of Microsoft Edge, including Xbox Cloud Gaming integrations.
- A new personalized homepage dedicated to gaming, offering news, guides, live streams, tournaments, upcoming and newly released games and the Xbox Cloud Gaming library, as well as access to recently played titles and to the content relating to them.
- The built-in Clarity Boost feature makes gameplay from the cloud smoother and clearer when playing from the Microsoft Edge browser on Windows.
- The new Games menu in Microsoft Edge gives you easy access to free and popular Microsoft games, such as Microsoft Solitaire, Atari Asteroids, Microsoft Jewel and the exclusive Microsoft Edge game, Surf, as well as to discover new ones.
- Efficiency mode helps improve the performance of your games on Windows 10 and 11, allowing them to run quickly and smoothly by reducing the use of browser resources when a PC game is launched.

We’re excited to announce that later this year, we’ll be allowing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to play, via the cloud, select titles they already own or have purchased outside of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library. Xbox Game Pass.
We’re also revealing the first details of Project Moorcroft, a program that will let you try out a selection of never-before-seen demos of upcoming titles if you’re an Xbox Game Pass member.
- This program will start during the next year and will initially be an opportunity for independent developers from all over the world to present their new creations.
- Participating developers will then be able to see how their demos perform with audiences and will be compensated to facilitate the opportunity to show off their creations on Xbox and reach new audiences with Game Pass.
More ways to express yourself with the Xbox Design Lab
The Xbox Design Lab lets you express your personality with its billions of different possible combinations. Today, we have increased these possibilities even further.
This includes new pastel colors: Soft Pink, Soft Orange, Soft Green and Soft Purple. We have also added Camouflage variations: Mineral Camo, Arctic Camo, Forest Camo, Sandglow Camo and Blaze Camo.
The changes and improvements to the Xbox experience introduced today are part of our mission: to enable everyone, everywhere, to enjoy the joys of video games and to join their community. This is a significant objective and we will achieve it through various stages in the years to come. The video game will continue to evolve on a daily basis, but supporting and connecting those who create games with those who play them will remain an ongoing goal, which we would love to achieve.
