A leaker claims to have already learned the price of the upcoming Xperia 1 IV. Sony fans should therefore start saving now, because the smartphone is said to be quite expensive. Even the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra almost looks like a bargain.
Sony Xperia 1 IV for 1,600 euros?
Sony has never been known for extremely cheap smartphones, which was recently also noticeable with the premium cell phone Xperia Pro-1. A Chinese leaker is now reporting that the Sony Xperia 1 IV will also leave a pretty big hole in your wallet (source: Weibo). For comparison: A Galaxy S22 Ultra from Samsung is available in Germany from 1,249 euros. Only the variant with a whopping 1 TB hard drive and 12 GB of working memory can be paid a little better than what is assumed for the Xperia 1 IV.
It is not yet clear whether the Xperia 1 IV will really end up with this exorbitant price. Until the release of the smartphone a few more months to go. The predecessor, the Xperia 1 III, was launched in August 2021. At the start, the mobile phone cost 1,300 euros in this country.

Xperia 1 IV: camera upgrade expected
There is hardly any information available about the features of the Sony Xperia 1 IV. It is assumed that it will compare with its predecessor primarily a camera upgrade.
